In 2017, Melissa moved into a house with tons of beautiful lavender bushes, and she searched for a use for the lovely, fragrant flowers that would keep these plants and their bees healthy and would help her make gifts for her coworkers. Her lavender-infused oil went into lotion bars that soon became a big hit. Her hobby expanded into making all sorts of moisturizers to assist with family problems like psoriasis and eczema, and then…BOOM! bombus balms, named after bombus, the genus of a bunch of bumblebees, and balms for soothing, refreshing skin helpers (we’re in the high desert here…we need all the help we can get) came into being. We’re here to help your skin look and feel nice. We don’t use gross chemicals, we aim to be skin problem and cancer-treatment helpers (please feel free to ask us if you have questions about that - we know a lot about how chemo damages the skin and we want to try to help keep folks as comfortable as possible), and we try to keep our processes and products as natural and environment-friendly as we can. We’re not miracle workers, and we can’t fix everything, but we sure do like to see how we can improve your daily moisturizing routine!
Melissa’s Mom taught her all about making things and caring for others. Oh, and about being cute.
